A list of simple things here and there.
1. Simple food. It seems people either love rhubarb or hate it. I fall into the camp of love and have been especially enjoying simply rhubarb with maple. Mmm, so good.
2. Simple expression. A nearby neighbor put out a little “house” of colored chalk, inviting passing people to express their creativity on their stretch of sidewalk. I love this invitation to build community and make art.
3. Simple case. In this episode of ReWild Yourself Podcast, Lierre Keith makes the case that vegetarianism/veganism isn’t the solution to saving our planet or species. She provides another perspective to the complex problems facing our world. Fast forward the podcast 30 minutes to get to the start of her interview . (The photo was taken near Cooke City, Montana last summer and seemed fitting for this podcast episode. If you listen through to the end you’ll understand why.)
5. Simple Fridays. Two years ago my husband started a tradition of meeting friends on Friday nights, when weather and schedules permitted, at our local park. We lay out a quilt, dine on simple fare and toss the Frisbee. As our days in Denver are coming to a close, we’re relishing in our final picnics at the park.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends! xo Julie
